**Ascend - Lifeline Support for Phone/Internet Access**

Some of our consumers and attendants only have flip phones which prevent them from using either telephony or Ascend EVV. At the MOCIL conference, the [Lifeline Support](https://www.lifelinesupport.org/) program was recommended.

According to their web site, “[Lifeline](https://www.lifelinesupport.org/) is a federal program that lowers the monthly cost of phone and internet. Eligible customers will get up to $9.25 toward their bill. You can only use [Lifeline](https://www.lifelinesupport.org/) for either phone or internet, but not both. To get [Lifeline](https://www.lifelinesupport.org/), [find a company](https://data.usac.org/publicreports/CompaniesNearMe/Download/Report) near you.”

I used their [tool](https://data.usac.org/publicreports/CompaniesNearMe/Download/Report) to find a company for 64093. Centurylink is the provider for landline phones. If consumers are interested in getting a smart phone with assistance from the program for use with Ascend EVV, that might also be an option.
