Since 1997, WILS has been serving people of all ages, from children to seniors with disabilities in Benton, Henry, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, and Saline Counties.
We are a consumer driven, non-residential, 501(c)3 nonprofit resource center that serves people with disabilities and their families at all stages of life.
As a Center for Independent Living (CIL) we empower persons with disabilities to take charge of their lives and guide their own destinies to live as independently as possible. WILS staff and consumers work together to remove barriers and prejudices in society so that all individuals can live, can work and can enjoy all that their communities have to offer. Fifty-one percent of our staff and board of directors are persons with disabilities; we are who we serve.
Missouri Centers for Independent Living (MOCIL) is the original state-certified and leading trusted resource for personal attendant services such as Consumer Directed Services. Through our regional centers in Missouri, we help people with disabilities remain in their own homes by assisting them in finding caregivers who can provide in-home personal care and support with household chores and daily meal preparation.
