For the uninsured and underserved in the area. Anyone from the
surrounding communities may attend this event!
No appointment necessary and no cost for services received at

Celebrate Nurses & Hospital Week with us during our 2023 Family Fun Day! This FREE community event will take place on Wednesday, May 10 from 3-8 p.m. at the main entrance of Western Missouri Medical Center.
They’ll be celebrating 60 years of compassionate care with food trucks, vendors like WILS, and activities for all ages, including a bounce house, inflatable course, music, face painting, exotic animals and emergency vehicles.

Activities will be provided by the Missouri Department of Conservation and include fishing, archery, and target practice. No fishing license or experience is necessary, MDC and National Wild Turkey Federation volunteers will be on site to assist.

This event is for individuals with a disability living in Benton, Henry, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, and Saline counties. Transportation may be available; transportation must be requested by Sept 8.

Connect for Effect at Volunteer Fair

If you are looking for a useful way to spend some free
time in retirement, we can give you a dozen or so
options— all in one fun environment.
The Connect for Effect Volunteer Fair will provide
senior adults with a chance to visit with representatives
of many nonprofit groups in Johnson County. Connect
for Effect will take place at the Johnson County
Fairgrounds from 12pm – 3pm on Tuesday, April 25.
Admission is free.
The fair, sponsored by Care Connection for Aging
Services and AmeriCorps Seniors, will include exhibits
showcasing many of the nonprofits that rely on
volunteer support to serve the public. Among those
who are expected:
