The importance of completing and tracking consumer Funding assistance.
We play a crucial role in assisting consumers with accessing low-income government programs, procuring individual organizational grants, and other financial assistance. We act as peer advocates to provide support and build their capacity to navigate systems and advocate for themselves. When efforts are successful, this leads to improved quality of life, reduced financial burden, and increased awareness of available resource within the community.
We need to do a better job of tacking this type of assistance we are providing consumers. If you haven’t done so already, everyone needs to start adding Funding records to a consumers file and tie them to goals. Please see the instructions below.

Reports can then be generated to gather to see how many consumers are accessing the needed programs and raise awareness about the availability of programs, potentially leading to increased participation and support from the community. Since we are providing assistance to vulnerable populations, the information we obtain can be used to address the overall well-being of individuals with disabilities in our 6-county service area and help address issues related to inequality of these individuals.
